Default Problem with SD card, errors, media format etc.

I have a torch 9810 from ATT and I have an SD Card

every time I add large amounts of files it corrupts and says it needs to be repaired

when it doesn't do that it claims the files I'm trying to use, like mp3's, would say media format is wrong.

I've reformatted several times already as well as repaired the memory card in both the phone and my computer

    any ideas wtf is happening?

also it leaves .ch files on the root sometimes.

Are these brand new SD cards, or were they used on previous devices? Who's the manufacturer? What size are they? This would be helpful information.

If you are talking only 8GB cards, it might be worth your while to simply buy a new card for $6 on Amazon. I have a 32GB card that I bought in August 2010 for use on my 9800, and switched it over to the 9810 w/o problem. And it's stuffed full of song files and a few movies.

If you are reformatting on both the 9810 and PC and are still having problems, that says to me the card is f-d.
