Default Which operating system is best?

My 9810 is on AT&T. I recently found and installed OS .284. Now I find 428 & 579 from Telstar. Is either one of these better than what I'm now using. If Yes, what. If No, why not.

.428 has the muting issue for some people. Don't know about .579. At the moment 7.1.0.391 is doing a fine job on ATT 9810.

How long have you been using .428 without issue? I was using .378 and only after a week did an issue come up....

I've been running .428 since 5/20. For all practical purposes it works fine for me. Newer software usually means updates and/or new features.

The .378 build has been on my 9810 since it came out from Mobilicity and it's great with almost zero problems. And the ones that did pop up were cured with a battery pull. Good battery usage and good performing build--and free hotspot (though I don't use it).

Go back to .378 -- you're not going to see or notice anything different between that and the two more recent builds, and since you're on AT&T, you'll be able to take advantage of mobile hotspot on .378.

Agree completely with JasW!! .378 almost seems flawless and the hotspot is free! Great battery life and no issues to speak of. Seldom do battery pulls (only when I do an upgrade) and much faster browser.

Then for now I'll stay with .428. Hotspot seems to work just fine.

Running.391 with no glitches except memory leak seems high. Maybe its because now a days I'm continuously on wifi connection and refreshing Facebook app every now and then for no reason but otherwise this build seems pretty solid. I have downloaded .428 also but wish to spend some time with this version.
