Question! I upgraded to 7.1 and it's been running fine. I only have one problem... Basically for a month or so now my friends and I have had this multiperson chat running in BBM. However, after I upgraded, this chat just disappeared. The rest of BBM is working fine and I still have all other chats running as they were before. Every time one of my friends posts in the multiperson chat, I get their messages sent to me through our one-on-one chats. I tried to get my friends to invite me to the chat again, but it says I'm still in it on their phones, even though its totally disappeared on my BB.
I tried pulling the battery and reinstalling BBM but nothing is working. I also have the latest version of BBM.
Any help?

Installed yest night. Till now, its very smooth without any glitches. The browser seems much faster than the .205 & .378 I was using earlier.
Need to watch battery life. Will report the observations.
Thanks
Edit - .428 Released by Telstra !! These versions are coming out pretty fast now

Here is an update:
1) Been clearing log often by pressing Alt + L G L G. Marginal improvement
2) Pressing the space bar or swiping down the screen from the very top helps but the constant freezing (at least once every minute) is still VERY annoying
3) Unchanged
4) De-selecting conserve wifi in Fixmo tools helped quite a bit but hotspot still has hard time connecting
Still anticipating Galaxy release

I put it on over a week ago, and haven't noticed any difference except my battery lasts a full day now.

Loaded this up and noticed that when playing MP3s a song will suddenly start skipping around (almost like a scratched record). If I skip to the next song everything is OK. I play the song that went wonky on my PC and it sounds fine. Anyone else had this happen?

Just a thought, but the .378 version/build from Mobilicity is flawless with free hotspot. You might want to give that one a try.

Not exactly the same but similar - when playing MP3's, several times after a song completes, the BB goes completely dead. IE, the next song doesn't play, the screen is totally black, and device is unresponsive to any key presses, requiring a battery pull to bring it back to life. Never had this happen before, but it does on this release, 5 or 6 times now in the last 2 weeks.

Which one? There are 2 different .378 versions on the Mobilicity page, all details appear the same except they differ in size, and one starts with 9810jAllLang... while the other is 9810AllLang... (no 'j'):
BlackBerry Handheld Software v7.1.0.1276 (All Languages)

Hi TheRealJoeBlow: I always use the top one but for no apparent reason--just have. I don't know the difference in them as they both say "all languages" in this download, but the one I used was:
Software For BlackBerry® Torch™ 9810 smartphone
BlackBerry Handheld Software v7.1.0.1276 (All Languages)
Package Version: 7.1.0.1276
Consisting of:

And on my handheld 9810 under options/device/about it says (and I hope this helps):

Having problems installing this on my 9810.
I downloaded the OS release and installed it on my computer. BBDS did not display it at all as an option to update to. After searching I found the vendelete.exe solution and realized that in the BB Update 101 it doesn't tell you that apparently there is another vendor.xml in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry somewhere. After finding this the new OS shows up under BBDS after going to View Other Versions.
Now when I click on the new version I get the following.

This is very frustrating, anyone? - 07-05-2012, 01:18 PM #64
Wow! Have never seen this one before! Eveyrone that I know of that's installed .378 or .391 love it and have no issues. There are 2 vendor.xml files that should be deleted prior to install and it helps to reboot your computer once they are off prior to new install. Also backing up is extremely important prior to any of this.
I hope some one on here will be of help with this. Good Luck! - 07-06-2012, 02:06 PM #65
Thanks go1ndr, I have updated my old Tour numerous times and never had a problem.
We'll see if anyone else has any idea's.
The worst part of all this is, when I go to the web site it mentions it says:
And this is the newest version of BBDM, you would think they could keep up with their own web pages. LOLCode:404 Error - Page not found The page you have requested has been moved or no longer exists. Please use the site map below to find the page for which you are looking.

Hey folks, I wanted to check with folks whether they have had any issues with touchscreen accuracy. I am trying to use more of the touch typing function while in portrait or landscape and I am unable to get a steady registering of hits. I have tried to use the "device test" to get a better read to what is being registered as touchscreen hits and as you can see, lower quadrant hits somehow get register as upper...the opposite side of the screen.
Keyboard Test: Pass
Trackball Test: Pass
Touchscreen Test: lower right hits registered as upper left

Re: Official: BlackBerry Torch 9810 OS 7.1.0.391 from Rogers Wireless Inc.
Hi out there, im new to the forum, I have the 9810 and i have tmobile, bought this 9810 not to long ago from an authorized dealer unlocked, the device came with the 7.1.0.267, witch does not allow wifi calling, well @ home i dont get good signal and have allways used my 9700 under UMA, I tryied adding the 7.1.0.284, witch is the latest software provided by tmobile, and not even the ppl from rim could do it, the phone just doesnt take it! so to not get you bored im wondering if theres any other os that i can try on my 9810 that allows wifi calling and at the same time can be used with tmobile?

Re: Official: BlackBerry Torch 9810 OS 7.1.0.391 from Rogers Wireless Inc.
Recently installed version .714 and am happy to report that I am no longer experiencing any problems!
No more hourglass, no more screen freezes, no more screen dimming and wifi is working fine. Everything is smooth and fast! This is how it should work.... wow, maybe this 9810 is the best BB after all!
