Battery Drain Rate is 3.14% today. (About the same as .402)
Moderate phone and e-mail usage with WiFi on/Bluetooth on.

No crashes for me, yet. I only put back essentials, like email, SMS, BBM, contacts, calendar. Did a bit of web surfing and the day's usual share of email reading. Next step is to put back social media, then hit App World to update the essential apps.

EDIT: Nevermind, it just crashed when I went to read a text. Fail.

EDIT 2: Crashed twice within 5 minutes. I'm seriously losing my patience with this thing!

So far this OS seems to be very stable. I have had no crashes or problems.

Battery life is hard to evaluate after just a couple of days. I need to wait and see.

My phone was made in Hungary so I wonder if I have a different batch of chips 'n' stuff in my phone that is evading the crashes that others seem to have.

One the other hand I have very few apps on my phone and I am using the stock theme since there is no OS7 Theme Studio available.

I have a Made in Mexico 4 phone. So far, zero problems with this OS and a very stable battery and signal (with no freezes or crashes). (Yesterday had a 3.4%/hr battery drain and today I am at 3%/hour drain.)

Dived right in on the upgrade. Anyone notice a beep sound with vibrate during the last "Wait for device initialization" phase? I'm asking because this is the first time it happened for me while doing an OS upgrade.

I'm the same as you, 0 crashes since I bought the 9810 on launch day, but I also have very few apps, and stock theme.

Hmmm. I have a Made in Mexico 4 as well. Battery life is okay for me, not that I've measured, but I'm satisfied with it. However, I am terribly annoyed with the frequent random rebooting. I almost suspect there is some defective RAM/ROM since the reboots are much more frequent when I tried turning on encryption.

    Thumbs down

Just upgraded to this official version and not impressed at all:

    1) The hourglass pops up frequently on a regular basis

    2) The screen randomly freezes and becomes unresponsive (very often) when using the browser for about 30 seconds at a time. A click of the trackpad seems to unfreeze it. Anyone else have this issue?

    3) Random dimming of the screen, pretty annoying

    4) The hotspot keeps disconnecting before it's supposed to

Battery life seems comparable to other versions.

Been a loyal BB user for some 10 years but these OS upgrades are just disappointing and the release of BB10 is probably too little too late. The Galaxy III release might just win me over....

Working better than 251 or whatever I had. Did notice that the phone numbers in the call log look better spaced or something different.

Installed. My first try of 7.1 coming from 7.0.0.585. Been messing with various apps all day and I have...several. I've seen no random crashes and fewer pauses waiting for RAM/ROM to catch up. I shrunk out non English languages and a few other things. I left the vendor file alone since I'm a Rogers customer. So far everything's working, even a few old apps I keep around and have to side load. Need to update profile.

Homer, do you recommend complete wipe with bbsak before install or normal apploader install process will do ??
    Please let me know.

This has been a huge debate since OS6 first started coming out, I used to wipe then load, did that process for years. Since the newer DM's and 7.1 OS's I haven't needed to do a full wipe in a really long time. Actually the last 7.1 upgrades recently I have done with DM(since its open for a backup anyways). DM uses loader.exe to load the OS, just uses a little nicer interface without all the options you get when you use loader.exe.

I prefer the Loader.exe method, it wipes the device before installing the OS(just watch what it says while its working(deleting applications and operating system(or something like that)). Makes the process a little shorter and easier(no need to redownload all your apps).

With this being said, on occasion when something odd happens that others aren't seeing, I will wipe with JL_cmder(super old program that hasn't seen an update in years, but still works beautifully. I find it easier to use and quite faster then BBSAK)to a 504 screen then reload from there.

In short its really up to the individual user, wipe, load, or just plain use DM or loader.exe, either process works. Its a matter of self preference nowadays.

i just loaded this on my 9810 with bell mobility, and all is good for a couple hours so far. i had .342 on prior to this. all i did was backup just my contacts and bbm, and wiped the device with bbsak and loaded on this one.

i have only tried it with facebook, twitter and bbm so far though. it seems its a little more responsive but thats probally just cause i dont have much apps on it atm. il let everyone know if something happens.

Thanks friend. The last two upgrades, .205 & .378, I did it with normal process with loader.exe without any issues. Just wanted to know if a complete wipe could make any difference.

    Thanks

Has anyone had a issue where the trackpad has stopped working when trying to scroll on a pop-up window or modal? Like if a EULA pops up, you used to be able to use the trackpad to scroll but now have to use the touch screen.

One other issue I found was that when in a SMS window, you seem to have lost the ability to use the 'ALT' function to enter things like numeric values (0-9) and things like exclamation point and parenthesis.

    I have a AT&T 9810.
