Mobile network affecting battery life?
I was roaming in Germany & Poland on Vodafone and noticed that my battery lasted way longer than on my home network of Vodafone Ireland. Looking at it on a graph, the line is pretty constant on both networks, just than on Vodafone Ireland the slope is way steeper. Any explanation for this? Is there a way to change network settings somehow to lower the drastic battery loss I'm getting in Ireland?

Yes data was always on, and stayed on 2G only the whole time. Just wanted to add, I noticed the same on my old android.

2G uses less battery than 3G.

Assuming your home network has 3g, and while you were roaming you only had 2g, this would explain the drastic battery life you are seeing. Not sure if you can(I know I cant, but I'm on AT&T) but try changing your network to 2g only while your home and compare.
