Have you done a search and removed all vendor.xml files?

Quick Tip: Updating your BlackBerry to a different carrier's OS? Make sure you delete BOTH vendor files | CrackBerry.com

You may also need to just reboot your computer, then plug in your phone.

newcollector, Thanks a lot. I never used to get problem with .3XX builds for second vendor.xml file cause I never found any during those installations... After .391 I jumped directly to .536 which is official India release so never bothered about vendor files...so I think over a period of this time, I just forgot about the second one.

The installation went very smooth. Hope to get decent battery life and less memory leak on this one as I'm switching from .536 in just 4-5 days. It was horrible for me.

    Thanks

For those on carriers that support WiFi Calling (TMO, Rogers, and ??), how well does WiFi calling work on this version?

    Default Arrgh!

So, I think I have the mike mute problem on AT&T. I don't understand it. This is the first build I've had this issue.

Actually, the mic activates after 15 seconds. However, most people have hung up by then...

I fully regret loading this on my 9810. I now have the mic issue.

And I really much prefer the device analyser to that terrible performance monitor that's on this build. Doesn't provide me with any feedback, you just have to assume it's working and give it permission to end whatever is running in the background....well, what if I need something running in the background and I decided to live with it using CPU and battery because I happen to need it....such as maybe turn by turn directions and Latitude????

Nope, not happy. Now I have to downgrade. Wish I'd never upgraded.

You can activate DA by pressing alt+bbda in options. You can also turn off the automatic shut down by unticking the box.

Yes I can activate it but it disappears after a reboot. Also, the automatic shut down can be turned off but there is no feedback on the monitoring function. I could have lived without device analyser if I'd had feedback on the monitoring.

    Not a fit for me.

There is no problem with DA not staying after reboot. Try complete wipe and re-loading os.

Performance monitor can be shutdown, Device Analyzer can be activated (and it should stay activated after a reboot)

This is just a matter of configuring your phone.
In your case I would downgrade however since you mentioned having the mic issue with this build and I'm assuming you didn't with your previous build...

For what it's worth I think the performance monitor is worth it. Since I've had the 9810 I have had crappy battery life...on the order of 10% per hour drain as reported by MeterBerry. My battery would barely last the day. With my 9800 I rarely saw over 3% and when I did it was when I was using TeleNav or the like or lots of downloading and rebooting, etc.

A few days after loading this OS I got a popup message stating that BeBuzz had been draining system resources and had been shut down. My battery life increased from 7-10% to 1-3% drain, close to what my 9800 used to do. Upon further research I realized I hadn't loaded BeBuzz through AppWorld and I was several updates behind. I loaded the power user core only version from the BellShare website and ever since my battery life has been excellent.

If it hadn't been for the performance monitor I wouldn't have been able to narrow the problem down to BeBuzz as I have many apps loaded on my device. I use lots of apps that use system resources but the performance monitor has not shut anything down except for that BeBuzz app. It was a valid shutdown and I'm glad RIM added the feature. I have not had any other alerts from it. I believe they got it right with the performance monitor.

ok, i will advise that this OS to be pulled, the software has a problem with the other person hearing you via the mic, I never had any problems with any OS but this one and the constant hello's after a while you will get straight to the point of no returns, if this works for you please don't feel like your super man, these OS's will react different on all phones. This is by far the worse dl I ever did I will take a batter drain over people not hearing me any day. VIVO if this works for your customers then all the best to you.

Who are you going to report this to in order to be pulled?

Read up the thread. This is a problem with AT&T devices only. Obviously, some kind of incompatibility with their netwoek.

I have it loaded on my Tmo 9810 and its the best OS I've used to date.

great, im happy it works for you buddy. it works only when it wants to but most of the time it don't, when your party cant hear you 6 times in a row you will get the idea of what i mean about being pulled, of course I know it wont cause not everyone got the same carrier, its a joke, when you can't cry laughing is the best thing you can do. life is short as it is. take it with a smile

    Hey Gazer,

Glad your enjoying your new Torch2 9810

If battery life and memory are all fine on that os you have then no need to upgrade

Check out how good (or bad) your battery life is with BlackBerry's new Device Analyzer, you can find it in options>device>advanced system settings

Feel free to pm me if you need help or better yet we can exchange pins hehe!

    Regards
    Mikey

(ps moderators, can I get my username changed to MikeysBBTorch29810) thanks
