No problems here... I have an ATT device (unlocked) and never had the mic issue. It has more free memory @ boot than the previous version (like 182Mb vs 168Mb), the battery seems a lil bit better, but nothing spectacular, anyway have to wait a couple of days to settle down.

I did what I always do, shrink with BBH and then install.

    Talking Thanks for the info

Thank you for the info on the OS that allows you to use Mobile Hotspot on AT&T w/o paying extra. I have not been able to use it until now. I downloaded the version you mentioned in this post and voila!, hotspot work without tethering plan!!! Now I am a happy camper.

I asked this on the 378 thread, but haven't gotten a reply.

Is anyone here who is using 378--the last known one with a free AT&T hotspot function--happier with it than with 284, which is what I am using. IOW, are there known advantages to 378 over 284 for AT&T users, or for anyone?

    Thanks very much.

I've been on .378 since it came out and have ZERO ISSUES with anything! Mic works great, battery life is awesome, trackpad/browser, everything is perfect and the hotspot is free, though I don't personally use it. Unless they come out with an upgrade that is issue free, this is where I'm staying. I've promoted it on here since it came out and will continue to do so. I have only seen a couple of negatives on the .378 since may and all were corrected. Good Luck!

The S3 is awesome to look at but not a blackberry 9810-imo-I just love the BB keyboard and hate virtual keyboards and Google scares me-LOL. Guess I'll go down with the ship or get rescued when the BB10 does arrive. Besides, too much fun on here trying to help someone fix their phones before they switch and buy a phone that doesn't break-LOL!

LMAO!!!! Just so you know. I've owned 8 personal BlackBerries and 5 others thru my job and in November will be 5 years I've been a member on here, was a MOD on two different BlackBerry forums, and wrote BlackBerry articles for another. I also passed on a few OS leaks back in the day via PM and email that were passed on to me to help others. I've done my fair share of helping others on and off this site. Some are current members here. Why off the site? Well, we had a few members that because they had a higher post count, they thought it would be cool to treat newbies like ish and talk down to them, whereas I still don't give a damn about obtaining a higher PC while others see it as a status symbol and assuming respect that hasn't been earned. Anyway, as far as the keyboard vs. virtual, that a personal choice. Some love it(touch) others will itchb about it. BTW, I've always owned multiple phones (at the same time), including 2 iPhones, Palm Pilot, and a ish load of other cell phones....different brands. Not bragging, but, I don't want you to get it twisted. I'm not new to BlackBerry nor smartphones in general and I don't have to prove to anyone how I feel about BlackBerries or this site- past, present, or in the future. Also, if I buy a phone that breaks......I'll look you up...for counseling.

    Off topic question..
I'm activating a only BBM plan on my device..
No browsing, no emails, or no 3rd party applications...
So will I be able to update my device with any future updates? Cauz all the updates require an active BIS data connection right?

So, why update at all? It won't matter if you're only using BBM.

Aside from a few java swaps, I'm sure there are a couple in the works. Especially since some are still having the Mic issue.

Unfortunately, not possible due the .378 sfi being too many generations separated from .569

With Mecca's help, I tried .391 sfi with the .528 java set from Mecca Delta Prime (and there is even less generation spread between these two) - nuked my device.

    Mecca's help came in the form of "un-nuking" . . .

I tried this myself a few times. Results 602 error and reboot loop which is a bit of a pain to fix since the JVM only connects to computer for about 5 seconds.

Just installed this update (coming from .378) and am on att - I haven't made any calls yet, doing some default app cleanup and my usual battery pulls first and will update post phone calls. I had NO issues on previous .378 build with the mic, however, and correct me if I'm wrong (as I likely am) but has anyone on the network whose default os this is had any mic issues with the build? I mean we're bashing att here (and I'm on board with that - I'll be looking to get an sg3 on sprint...i know i know....soon, or maybe the note 2) but it's not their release. And again, don't get me wrong, I don't remember the last release they have released a build, but in all fairness, this was not an att release.

Update: A day after the OS install I have had two phone calls (usually don't really have need for calls on the weekends - primarily a texter/bbm'er, the weekdays will be another story) and of the two one was incoming and the gf answered and said the person on the other end couldn't hear her. I then made a call out to the same number that called and there were no issues. Regarding battery life, I had 95% battery life and decided to a do a battery pull, upon complete restart I checked again and had 81%. Not sure what that was about but I haven't seen anything like it since. Something I had noticed on the .378 build, and I haven't had this build long enough to note it, was that the phone would 'freeze' while not being used and upon me turning the screen on it would jolt itself back to the now. ie, turn off the screen and put it in my pocket at 10:45am and then take it out at 11:15am and turn it on and for about 3-5 seconds the time would state 1045 and have no notifications then the time would jump to 1115 and i'd have about 5 emails a text or two and a couple of bbms - Not sure if this is app related or was device/os related, but I'll update again if I have that issue with this build as well.
