I know it's harsh but you will have to get so far on your own before you can get reasonable help from a list full of busy people. Nah. I never left the house.
From the head MOFO in charge:
"BlackBerry has acknowledged how important the U.S. market will be to its turnaround efforts. "You got to win here to win everywhere else," BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins told the AP. "That's just the way it is."

And if anyone who lives in a known "mic problem" city installs this, please report back if the problem is still there.
Known problem areas:
Baltimore, Boise, Denver, Detroit, So. New Jersey, NY, Central PA, Philly, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, St. Louis, Wilmington (DE), Washington DC, and Wisconsin all noted mic problems.

I have made 2 calls so far in southern wisconsin without an issue. northern wisconsin may be a different story.

From the 9900 forums:
Go to Options and hold the Alt button and type BBDA. The device analyzer will be enabled.
You'll have to do this after every re-boot.
I haven't tried it yet as I am waiting to hear about whether there's an ATT mic problem or not (I have a feeling that there is).Last edited by tsells; 07-04-2012 at 09:28 PM.

Portland was already listed as a city that has the mic problem. The theory here is that the mic problem is location based. I've added Eugene to the list of "bad" cities in this thread:
Mic problems with OS 7.1 - straight versions or hybrids . See post # 55.Last edited by tsells; 07-04-2012 at 09:52 PM.
