Issues with my screen....PICS

help please! I'm not eligible for an upgrade til June...

this started a few days ago, and seemed to clear up. Tonight it started again, I've done several hard resets, and checked for updates....

everything seems to be working properly...it just looks bad, and is pixel-y in spots. The touch screen still works.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's a problem with the ribbon that connects the screen. Not hard to replace, but time consuming. Pretty cheap too. If it's not that, then I'd say deal with it until you can upgrade.

Thank you...that does make sense. I will probably have to tough it out. Maybe I'll switch back to my Bold for a while.

There's a great youtube video that shows the complete breakdown and reassembly of the 9800/9810. Parts can be found on ebay with all the tools needed for the job. If you like to tinker with electronics, then I'd say go for it. I've done a few and it isn't hard at all. Just gotta be willing to sit down with in for a few hours and take your time.

What did you do before this happened? Did you dropped your phone or something ?

I did drop it about 3-4 days prior to this starting to happen. It was a pretty bad drop, the battery door popped off and the battery came out. But it worked fine right after.

I will look into it, thank you. I did have to replace a few things on my Bold, so I'm not entirely new to the process. I may tough it out for a while, and if it get worse try to replace it closer to upgrade time.
