Hows your 9810 holding up? Condition
So after having the 9810 since it's release to ATT I'd say my phones at about a 7 out of 10. Always have a Barely There case and an Invisi-Shield screen protector, but all of the grey around the screen has seemingly rubbed off. Phone is still holding up pretty well, keyboard operates like new, so aside from the cosmetic issues the phones solid. How say you?

My 9810 is approaching '2 months old'
The battery door...the top left and right corners move a tiny bit
I would rate the phone condition 9.975/10 after 2 months

Mines about 6 months old. I use a leather holster and that's it. No screen protector. The screen is 100% no scratches. The silver outer shell has a few minor nicks. You can;t really see them unless it's in the right light.
The one thing i hate is the keyboard. They keys make this sticky clicky sound when i slide my fingers over the keys and when I'm typing. Even if i just touch the keys ( not pressing ) i still hear that sound. It makes the phone look very cheap when you hear it.
Other than that. No real problems. Please sign this petition to bring Netflix to BlackBerry. Help your BlackBerry brothers and sisters.

I've had mine for 2 months... Tried a screen protector, but, it annoyed Me with bubbles and weird rainbow fuzziness... Took it off and luckily still no scratches... Plus, I wasn't sure if the screen protector affected the touch screen...
Other than that, I totally baby this thing...
The only damage I accidentilly did was scraping the soft side material under the USB connector... My fingernail did it because of the way I removed the USB connector... So, be careful on yours...
Oh yeah - I also notice some grittiness feeling (assuming dust) when sliding the screen... - 04-23-2012, 01:27 AM #7
Had mine about six months now. Other than a few nicks around the housing from me dropping it, it's holding up like a true champ.
No case or screen protector used but no scratches on the screen either.
Keypad works better now than when it was new.
I thought the slider would be showing signs of getting loose or weak by now but it works as good and tight as it did on day one.
Still running the original AT&T os without any problems.
Only one complaint and it's a small one. The lock/unlock button is too easy to press. - 04-23-2012, 06:25 AM #8
I've had mine since November. It looks almost new. No scratches in the screen. I keep it in an AGF GRT Endo Ballistic case. The only caveat is that there are two small black areas on the silver near the base of the phone caused by the top. Can't see it until you really look for it. Otherwise the phone looks almost pristine.

Mine's perfect. Otter Box, no screen protector. Two minor gripes: it goes into landscape mode too easily, and screen locks too easily. But I can live with these.

I'd say after 3 months the condition is still 10/10 or maybe 9.98/10. I've had this baby in an Electromaster case from it came out the box, screen protector/privacy screen the second day. Aside from the dust bunnys in the earpiece and the dust particles between my keys, id say my baby is holding up. Had the clanking screen issue but nothing works like two pieces of black electric tape
. Another issue is when Im talking on the phone with slider out it tends to rattle a lil bit, that started straight out the box but something i've learnt to live with. In the case the housing get too damaged nothing like an OEM housing from ebay

Well I got my 9810 on the day of release, so I've had it for a while. I must say that I've loved this phone from day 1 and still am keeping fingers crossed that there will be a BB10 version of it.
Let me say that I've beat the living heck out of this phone... Its completely naked. I go no case and no screen cover. Its got dings, dents on the bezel and one small nick on the screen, but they are all my fault for being clumsy and dropping it all over the place. With all of the abuse I have dished out, the phone still works fantastic. No screen wobble, buttons are work great, the phone is a little tank.
So... exterior condition is a 7/10 (all my fault). Interior/working condition... 10/10 - 04-23-2012, 01:57 PM #14
Mine is functioning perfectly, the silver casing has worn down in spots and the otterbox I had on it for 2 of the 6 months I have had this model left a ton of minor scratching behind. My BB lives in my back pocket 'till I sit down, or jacket pocket if outdoors.
I would say my phone is 7/10, cosmetic damage only. - 04-23-2012, 02:38 PM #15
I have it since sepetember

Amazing phone! A lot of nicks on thr silver part around the screen but its very sturdy
Slider mechanism is still intact
Using a screen protector since the day I got it
Rating - 8.5/10
Will be a 10/10 if OS 10 comes onto this or atleast someone makes a OS10 hybrid

Have had mine since September with Otterbox Commuter. Worst thing I had done to it was to splash a little bit of water on the screen and around the trackpad 3 months ago. I was lucky that nothing got into the bb and shorted anything. I did not do the rice treatment or anything similar. I just wiped the unit dry as best as I could with the battery pulled out.
Battery life was a pity before an OS upgrade I did last month, 3-4% consumption per half an hour on idle just did not make sense when I was still on stock AT&T 7.0. However, after upgrading to 7.1.0.342, battery life is absolutely great, 0-1% consumption per half an hour on idle. I am sticking with 7.1.0.342 and I will never upgrade again unless there are new functionalities that I really want or for very significant bugfixes with any newer OS releases.
Slider is as solid as it was when I got it, no loose feeling of any kind.
Yesterday I just hooked the Torch with Jawbone Icon, and Jawbone Icon works very nicely with the phone. One note on that, do not install the Jawbone Icon battery app, I installed the app earlier and the bluetooth connection was very problematic, typical bluetooth connection problem: cannot find this device, cannot contact that device, the usual bluetooth connection BS. After removing the Jawbone Icon battery app, bluetooth connection was a snap to establish after pairing. I am pretty sure at this point that the app was probably written for OS 6.X and had never been really been updated for OS 7.X for a long time.
As of now, I am giving my Torch a 10/10, just the way I like it. - 04-24-2012, 02:48 PM #17
I've had mine since the first day it became available from AT&T (August?). It's a white one, and it looks pretty darn good. Two teeny little nicks.

I've had mines since its 1st release, last Aug on ATT. 7/10, since I've dropped mines alot. All white with a few paint chips, slider is as solid as it was out the box. No screen protector, but I occasionally use a Body Glove case for the 9800 - the belt clip turns into a stand. I've used every OS to date, and test the hybrids I built strickly on this phone. Best BB phone in the line up. 99xx speed, full touch screen real estate, auto focus camera, blah, blah, blah.
My Primary Device is always my 9810. I just have a Zed...for fun!!

I've had mine a couple of months now and it looks and feels and works like it just came out of the box
I managed to drop it only once so far, it bounced off the floor and for a minute there I could of swore it smiled at me.........

Honestly, the 9810 is the cheapest ($49.00), toughest, and best all around BlackBerry out of the nine that I personally own. That includes specs, etc. I still use my 9700 when my new iPhone has accidents.(like accidently falling while it was raining)
. Anyway, aside from a few nicks my T2 is holding up really well. My wife brutalized her 9800. So, with her 9810, her case takes most of the beating this time.

mine has a little blemish at the bottom where the at&t logo is. also i dropped it once without the case and the top part of the "torch" where the camera is got scratched a bit.. but luckily not the camera itself. also the battery door wiggles slightly which makes it feel a tad cheap to be honest. also just under the keyboard theres a smmmmaaaalll spot where the paint chiped off slightly. hmmm so maybe 7 out of 10. could be much worse tho :P

Ive had mine since the beginning of Nov or so. The phone itself works GREAT provided I dont have a bunky OS on it. Theres a few cosmetic issues but thats from when the top of the case popped off when it fell and of course it would go sliding down the parking lot on its face where it was unprotected instead of its back....no worries now, got an endo case and its working out very nicely.

I bought mine in October, and it's pretty much in perfect condition, with the exception of a few minor scratches on the screen.
I would love for there to be a BB10 version of this bad boy :-)
