Default How common is the WSOD/bricking?

I'm buying a new phone today and was planning to pick up the Torch 9810. I was just wondering how common problems were with it. The OS7 devices all seem kind of glitchy (although there doesn't seem like there are as many problems with the 9810) and I wanted to know if there are many common problems with it (eg. bricking with 9900, buttons breaking with 9860) before I end up spending 600 dollars for one.

Thanks for the help,
Mark

I've had mine since they came out last August with no issues. And I have never seen any reports of 9810's bricking like some 9900's had. All phones have some QA issues some of the time, but other than the odd complaint about a bad track pad or wobbly slider I have not seen many problems surface for the 9810. Unlike the other phones the physical design already had a couple years to sort it self out with the 9800.

I've had mine since they came out. I've bricked it twice.
The reason both times was doing an inpatient three finger soft reset while the phone was frozen. I half blame myself.
Good things come to BB owners who wait

Same as others.
Have had mine since launch day with 0 issues, other then the slight wobble between the 2 halves. There have been a couple bricking threads, but no where near as rampant as the 99xx devices.

The only time I have had a white screen, it wasn't the WSOD. I got one when an app didn't work right. I just did a soft reset and everything was fine. I have had mine since November and not had any other issues with it that weren't operator related.

As you can see, I have mine on .258 and find it to be very stable. You should have no qualms about the phone.

Had mine for a month or so. Running 7.0 585 - latest official version here. Only problem I have is the sim card not allowed error which happens at least once a day meaning I miss any calls until I notice it and reboot. Have had to do a hard reset once during this time.

I've had my 9810 since Oct, 2011 and prior to that, a 9800. Both phones have been awesome with no issues ever! I am currently using OS 7.0.261(1355 bundle) and DM 6.1 and have no issues with back ups, restores, syncing or anything else--which is why I am not updating to any of the new and buggy upgrades. You will love this phone! Good luck!

Get the 9900! As for the issues you mentioned, they don't exsist in the present in spite of so many people using that lingo. A better question is "How smart do you think everyone is?".

$600!! I got mine "used" but in mint condition from Gazelle for $225.

As far as issues go, I haven't seen any.
