Freezing becoming a real problem
Hello Friends-
I was one of the people stating that they had no problems with freezing. I've been using my Torch 9810 for 4 months with absolutely not a problem. That is until a week ago. It is now freezing at least 4 times a day. And I'm talking battery pull freezing. I have reinstalled the OS and actually did a wipe I was so frustrated but
to no avail. No new apps, nothing different, took out the media card.....can't think of anything else to do. Of course because of my plan I'm stuck with this phone for another year. Anyone have any exorcism rite I can try? Or any other suggestions accepted also.

Aside from the standard (and useful) "battery pull" and "take a hard look at the last few apps you've downloaded" responses you may want to look at emails, texts, calendar items and bbms that may have accumulated. If you're a power user these can accumulate quickly. If this is the culprit consider reducing the period that emails and calendar items are retained under the respective option sections.

Interesting points Edge of Night! I wonder how much actual storage/memory, keeping old calendar appointments does slow it down? I use my 9810 for business and sync both ways daily. When I first started using BB's, I actually lost my older (than 90 days) calendar events on Outlook and had to go back into saved Outlook pst's to reload it. I changed the setting on the handheld to "keep forever" and now have calendar appointments dating back to 2000 which even if I wanted to get rid of, I couldn't because it would wipe my Outlook calendar on my computers. Wonder if anyone has any work-arounds--other than syncing only one way, which won't work because of appointments added to the phone when out of the office. Any ideas are welcome. Thank you!
