Firm screen protector
I just picked up a used 9810 for my wife and was initially disappointed to think the previous owner didn't apply a screen protector.
After fiddling with the phone while setting it up for the wife, i was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a screen protector, I just couldn't tell.
Zagg and BSE protectors are "plastic-ey". The one on my wife's felt like bare screen. The closest brand I can think of is Casemate. The casemate is trimmed clear around the speaker and led though, while the one on my wife's is shaped around the speaker, going over the led.
Does anyone know what brand this screen protector could be?

MyBat today = 70's transparency slides
MyBat screen protectors are glossy, smooth, and inexpensive. I've got one on each of my devices. You're right, I hardly notice it's there. If I had to describe it, and place myself squarely in the 70's, I'd say the material is similar to classroom projector transparency sheets. MyBat protectors often come in pairs, which is good because you will likely waste the first one figuring out how to apply it.
I stopped liking the rubbery, orange-peely screen protectors from Zagg and BSE when I graduated to touchscreen devices. - 04-12-2012, 08:38 PM

Might want to have a look at Ghost Armor. Although it is made from the same material as zagg, it doesn't have that plasticky feeling as the zagg, and doesn't get the orange peel effect(might be because it's not as thick?)
Just let a friend borrow my 9800 that has had a GA on it since day one of launch. No orange peel effect and still looks and feels as though there is nothing on the screen(over 2 years old now).
Just a small thing to note, if the current protector doesn't have a cutout around the LED, you might end up experiencing "face dialing", or muting the phone call. The proximity sensor is located directly next to the LED, and this sensors turns the screen off when put up to your face so you cant accidentally press buttons on the screen.Cell Phone History:Motorola Bag phone > Motorola Star Tac gen1 > Motorola Star Tac gen 2 > Motorola Razr > BlackBerry Pearl(8110) > Iphone gen1 > BlackBerry Curve(8310 Red) > BlackBerry Torch(9800 Black) > BlackBerry Torch II(9810 Gunmetal Silver) > BlackBerry Bold 9900) > BlackBerry Z10(STL100-3 Black)
