I searched and can't find anything besides really old posts on this but nothing about this issue on the 9810, one of my sales guys switched to the 9810 and no matter what we do when the phone is set to holster mode emails still make the ding sound when they come in, I went through all of his settings and even replaced the phone and the holster still can't get them to stop.

Any ideas on what might be going on?

From the home screen open messages then hit the BB menu key. Select message notifiers. Under "messages" select "email". Under "Sound alerts" there is the "play sound" option. Select "out of holster". Then when in holster it will not sound. make sure that under "tactile alerts" you do have it set to vibrate in holster and the number of times you want it to vibrate.
