After an upgrade and reboot, I now wake up to the App of the day. How do I delete this?

go to options, third party applications, personalization & privacy for App World, and set Collection of Usage Data to Disabled. Then check the box Apply This Setting to All Applications. this should eventually stop them. took about 3 days and they stopped for me.

Thanks for your suggestion. It's been 10 days now and I still wake up to the same Apps of the day originating from Parachute Mobile. Can anyone tell me how to get to Parachute Mobile to delete this?

you're welcome. this has worked for me on two phones. sorry. check your permssions. anything you have set to trusted status, explore further and decide if you really want to have allow for every setting. you might be surprised of how many you have and what they have permission to do.
