So i finally got a second hand 9810.

It came with Virgin software and i tried to change to other carrier's OS. Thing is: every time i try to change to other carriers, the Virgin wallpaper remains. I have tried wipe with BBSAK and load with loader, wipe with BBSAK and load with Desktop manager, install with loader, install with Desktop manager, deleted both vendor files manually and with Vendelete... every combination with the three methods. Tried different bundles, different versions for different carriers and the darn Virgin wallpaper remains! Seriously... why does this happen? How can i tell if i really changed the OS to another carrier?

When you change to an official or leaked OS, the initial boot up wallpaper from the original carrier is not affected. The phone will still run on the original carrier, all you have done is change the OS. To make sure the OS has been installed do the following:

options>device>about device versions. You version of OS that you are looking for is on the third line and is in parenthesis. To run your phone on another carrier, you will need to get an unlock code and unlock it.

The phone is unlocked to all networks.
The thing is that the phone came with Virgin Media OS and i wiped with BBSAK and then installed OS from Vodafone. The wallpaper remains the one from Virgin Media even after i installed Vodafone? I found it odd, hence my question.

But, with your reply, i think i understand now that the original carrier's wallpaper is not affected.
