Question BlackBerry won't sync with Outlook Calendar - Contacts Work

OK, some background for the issue:

1) This started out as a problem with the MS Office being the Click-To-Run version. I've since resolved that by removing the CTR and re-installing it properly.

2) The Contacts will sync fine through the Organizer settings, but not the calendar. It looks like its working and claims that 14 items have been synced, but there are WAY more than that, that need to come through.

3) I've fully updated the BlackBerry and the BlackBerry Desktop Software and nothing helped. The update to the BlackBerry wiped the device settings as well.

4) Checked the default CICAL settings and it IS set for the account that we want.

UPDATE: 5) I've deleted the CICAL service books and attempted to re-sync and it doesn't work after that either.

The only things I haven't tried yet are the mapi32 fix (even though this is a 64 bit machine, so I'm not sure if it will help) and re-installing the Desktop Manager from scratch.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions to try? This is for a client at work and I'm stumped. He does not use BES, and does not login to the BIS website (he's a technophobe and has no idea what the BIS is). He does everything on the phone itself.
