Blackberry bridge issue after os upgrade on 9810
New to the forum and need help!
I have a Torch 9810 and PlayBook
Torch 9810 7.1 bundle 2061
Blackberry Bridge 2.1.0.26
PlayBook OS 2.1.0.1088
BES is used
The Bridge connects to the PlayBook and will allow remote control and bridge browser to be used. However, although the email, text and BBM alert icons appear on the PlayBook they cannot be opened. The Bridge contacts and calender will also not open on the Playbook.
When attempting to open Text messages on the PlayBook the notice "Text Messages was disabled by IT policy" is displayed.
When attempting to open BBM on the PlayBook the notice "You must accept the BlackBerry Messenger Licence Agreement on your smartphone to use BBM on your PlayBook". It has been accepted on the phone.
I've tried unpairing, rebooting both devices and repairing to no avail, and the BES admin guys haven't been able to make any headway.
Any ideas appreciated - 11-26-2012, 04:14 AM #2
You probably need latest bridge version 2.1.0.34
PS latest build for the torch is 7.1.0.746 bundle 2108 but maybe you don't have control over that part, and anyway bridge update should be enough.Z10 User Guide | BlackBerry Link User Guide | Playbook OS2.1 User Guide | Playbook OS2.0 User Guide | Blackberry Mini Keyboard User Guide |

Updated Bridge to 2.1.0.34 with no change.
I believe the issue lies in the BES set up but have no clue where. - 11-26-2012, 10:50 AM #4

Are you on BES? If so, the problem may be something that your IT department needs to look at. That one error code about IT policy has disabled ability to text may be the key.

I think the issue is with BES. I will past it to our IT support (who unfortunately don't seem to be too hot on BES)
Thanks for your help and I'll keep you posted.
