9810 will not rotate / no case
I have my trusty 9810, which on occasion, would stop auto-rotating. I would do a battery pull, and things would be fine. Now, nothing I have done will bring back the auto-rotate. I have done a security wipe, numerous battery pulls, did the magnet to the screen to simulate holster use, and forcefully opening and closing the keyboard. Nothing works. If you have any other ideas, please let me know..
Thanks,

Make sure the keyboard is not out.
When physical keyboard is out it will not go into landscape.
Yes, annoying, but thats how it is. - 02-03-2013, 04:43 PM

It is for sure not open. Something else a problem, but thanks for your input. I "slammed" the keyboard shut. no good.

I also have this problem occasionally when inserting the 9810 into the charging pod, screen will suddenly refuse to go into landscape view.
Battery-pull solves the problem - for a few days. Then same problem anew.Last edited by Postfuhramt; 02-24-2013 at 01:12 PM.

Have you downloaded a different theme other than the default one? Sometimes that can cause a problem.

Re: 9810 will not rotate / no case
I know mine does it from time to time as well...I have found that dust sometimes gets in the slider and a can of air for cleaning computers usually does the trick...other times it takes a restart...my brother on the other hand is still running the first released OS on his 9810 and he almost never has an issue with it....so...take all of that for what it is worth...

Yeah, it happens to me. BP and it is fine. As far as what causes it, I have no idea.
From the head MOFO in charge:
"BlackBerry has acknowledged how important the U.S. market will be to its turnaround efforts. "You got to win here to win everywhere else," BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins told the AP. "That's just the way it is."

9810 will not rotate / no case
My 3rd line on my acct is my buddy with a white 9810. He had the same issue. If he opened his kb and then closed it and tried to rotate it wouldn't for about 15 mins. A bp solved the issue but ultimately what fixed it was an insurance swap out. I just think the accelerometer was acting up. Wipes and different os's never fixed the issue.
