9810 availability in Canada?
Hi,
Does anyone know if the Torch 9810 is still available? I'm with Bell.
Many thanks!! - 08-03-2012, 06:13 PM #2
Not sure about Bell but Telus in BC still has them. Only in white though. I think Rogers does as well.

She found ONE in Toronto just to find out she was'nt illegible for her early upgrade yet. You'd better hurry. What's in a world? - 08-04-2012, 08:34 AM #4
If you really want one, you could just get it off ebay.

Yes I have the 9810 on Bell but as someone above wrote they're hard to find now. I'm learning that most carriers are exhausting their BB supplies and not replenshing them. In fact, when I went to a Rogers store in Toronto recently to look at the Galaxy S III, I asked about getting a BB and the salesperson actually told me that he strongly wouldn't recommend getting a BB and he "wasn't sure" if he had any of them in stock. LOL
P.S. I should add that the 9810 is one of my favorite BBs ever, even though it only comes in silver and white.

unlocking Blackberry Torch 9810
You can get a Blackberry Torch 9810 from another carrier and unlock it.
When you unlock Blackberry Torch 9810 to make it available for use with a Bell sim card, the best is to have a device that was originally used with Rogers, Telus, Fido or AT&T USA.
Don't get the T-mobile / Mobilicity version if you are with Bell.. it won't work for data even when unlocked. - 08-05-2012, 10:07 PM #7
Look for one on your local Kijiji listings, Blackberrys are being sold everyday. Picked my 9810 for $180 brand new... What a deal.

If they aren't selling 9810's, what are they selling?

9900, 9790 and 9360 are the only BBs offered currently by Bell. Would like to get an unlocked 9810 but it is for my girlfriend and she's concerned about warranty and support.

I just got one today (Rogers) It wasn't easy!
1. I called Rogers tech support and they said they're not in their current catalogue (despite the fact they are advertised ON PROMOTION right now on the website) I was advised to go to a store/kiosk
2. I went to the Rogers store- they had them on display...but none in stock. They called around to 4 different cities to get one put on hold for me. (They had it driven over, so I didn't even have to go get it myself, and I only had to wait an hour for it)
Colour choice was not an option at that point, lol.Last edited by bbstoof; 08-11-2012 at 05:07 PM.

I was just looking at Bell and I see they no longer offer the 9810. I'm a little ticked because I was hoping to upgrade from my 9800 since there will be no slider at the launch of BB10 (or really anything in the works that we know of) and I wanted to get one before RIM canned the 9810.
Guess I'm SOL for a faster phone, eh?

Nope, it's not gone well. - 09-07-2012, 06:09 PM #16
They're $499 no contract from the carriers. How can they be selling them for $340? And was silver the only available colour?
Thanks.Heins: "We have only one opportunity to get this right".

Bell Torch 9810
I just ordered one from bestbuy.ca last week and received it today. They had them for 379.99. I think some bell stores still have them but they are going for the original retail price of 599.99.

I don't see it at bestbuy.ca anymore. At that price I'm not surprised they sold out. Oh well, hopefully my 9800 holds up for a few more years.

And did RIM stop making it or did the carriers just give up on it?
