Please help... I've downloaded "official release versions" but coming up to a dead end on "leaked versions". When I go to 9810 leaked 7.1....258 or even the 205, I highlight crackberry link and it takes me to a Download Manager -- Fileserve, megafiles, whatever. The 9810 leak exc file isn't highlighted, and only "download" highlights are to download fileserve or megafiles and NOT the 9810 leaked exc (~240Mb). I'm stuck and dont know step to step to get un-stuck and thus be able to load the leaked exc file on my computer.. Any step by step help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED

Sounds like you are clicking on the wrong "download" button on these sites. When you click on the "rapidshare" link on the first post in the Leaked OS (the one provided by rroyy) and the site comes up, then click on the section of the screen that says "save file to" on the "download" part.

That will bring the pop-up to download the OS update to your computer. Click "save" and save it to your desktop. Once it is done downloading, you then click on the downloaded icon on your desktop and install it to your computer. Follow the steps here:
http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101...ting-system-os

Hope this helps.

I too have had problems downloading the leak file and is not sure what I finally got unto my BB 9810??? Did this version (7.1.0.258) come with BlackBerry Tag (NFC Peer to Peer) or the Universal Search Web Engine? Because I don't have neither on my phone and it's reading 7.1.0.258!!! If anyone know if these should be included and or if someone know of a easier way to get the leak......Please inform!!! Thanx

There never has and never will be NFC on the 9810. The hardware is not inside the Torch.

As Nico pointed out, 9810 doesn't have the chipset or antennas for this. As for universal search, 258 should have this. Did you download a theme recently for 9810? I had read one of the themes in our theme section had an issue where it wasn't loading the search.
Also, if you haven't installed a theme then when on your homescreen, hit your bb button, go to options, the first "option" should be Launch by Typing, it gives you the option of Universal Search or Application Shortcuts. Make sure its on Universal Search. You should be good to go.
