yahoo messenger doesn't receive messages intermittenly
YM 2.5.63 on 6.0.0.337 has issues where I don't receive incoming messages. Logging out and back in seems to remedy the issue temporarily, but I hate not being able to rely on it for messages.
Anybody else having this issue?

Me too, same problem. What I've noticed is if I log out and back in it will work fine for a while until it drops again. Then I have to repeat the process. But you never know when it stops receiving messages.

I have the same problem with versions 2.5.63, .65, and .69. It's getting really frustrating.
I noticed recently that sometimes when I log in to Yahoo messenger 11(beta release) on my laptop I can open a new chat window for a contact, then click the link to show recent messages to which I find messages I never received while logged in on my BB Torch.
RIM's Yahoo Messenger needs an update badly. The features are lacking compared to the android and the iOS version's of YM. I really hope RIM has been working on an update for us. It is LONG overdue. - 04-05-2011, 06:30 PM #6
I have the same problem. Its becoming a real issue. Unless it is fixed soon, I might switch to another device. Its the prime way I commicated with family who have iphones.

So still no fix? I'm running Os6.0.0.526 and Yahoo v2.5.69 and still have this issue. What gives? when can we get a 2.5.7 version that doesn't do this?

Hey all
I was having the same issues. Upgraded to the new Version 3.0.0.19 hoping this would remedy the situation and still getting dropped messages. I 110% agree with posts above that the blackberry version is lagging way behind the android and iOS versions of yahoo mobile messenger. Waiting for iPhone 5 ...and I am dumping this dinosaur of a phone.
