Just got my 9800 this morning, and I'm quite happy with it so far. Trouble is, I'm trying to change my pin from my 8330 to the 9800. When I go on the Bell BIS site, it gives me a screen to change devices, but it only shows my 8330 and it's PIN, and gives me a button that says "Detect New Device" - it won't let me enter a new PIN. When I click the button, it does not detect my 9800.
So I am trying to do it from the phone, but I can't seem to get to the screen where you log in to the BIS on the phone! I can go through the email setup, but it only lets me select from: Yahoo, AOL, Gmail, WindowsLive, Other, or Create New Address. When I go to other I can enter the information about my email accounts, but this would be setting up a new bis account from scratch, and I just want to change the PIN from my existing bis account.
I followed that link, but the first requirement is that you have an unlocked phone. I'm not so sure I have to reset all my service books just to change my bis pin.
Any one else from bell switched from a non-sim phone to a torch? How did you transfer your bis to the new pin?
Back to the beginning. Where did you get the phone? Is Bell selling the torch now? If it's a Bell phone then ignore that link.
Put in the SIM, go to options, Host Routing Table and register on the network. Then use the email setup app and it should prompt you to move your email accounts to the new phone.
Oh man sorry I forgot that the 8330 is simless, well, in this case I'd call Bell to have them switch the PIN if the host routing table thing xandermac doesn't work.

Log into your BIS account from your new device. Options, setup, email.....log in with your normal username/password. It should dectect it and ask if you want to move the email address.
You NEED to call 1 877 DATA 123 and have them add it. its a pain in the *** but ive never been able to register a phone on the BIS website and always have to call them.
