Just curious how many people here on CrackBerry that have Torch and actually uses one. (If you do, post the name and what you think.)
On my previous phone, which is the Captivate, I didn't have any since it has Gorilla Glass and I'm protected with just simple scratches like keys in the pocket and whatnot. I'm quite careful with my gadgets so up to this point, my Captivate doesn't have any scratches at all. But I'm quite nervous with the Torch since it's not Gorilla Glass and maybe not that resistant with scratches, so I decided to put a screen protector on it. So do you use screen protectors yourself?
I have one on mine since day one. I went with the anti glare they sell at Att. As with anything anti glare the screen isn't as clear, but no smudges and finger prints is a plus. Had it for about a year and still looks good, some small scratches but I usually have it in an oem holster.

I do I do on both our 9800 and 9810. it made a little scratch on the 9800 disappear and protected the screen of my 9810 when it went for a 25 mph slide on asphalt coming out of my jersey pocket on what was otherwise a fine bike ride. Yes the screen protector and bessel took a beating, but the glass is good as new. Should really get one of them minimalist snap on cases t protect the phone and hide the damage.
I have had my phone since March of this year and have dropped it at least twice...once on concrete and don't have a single scratch. It just seems like another money maker for the cell phone companies.
I loathe scratches. Always had a protector on my 9800, and before that my 8220. I like the MyBat protector for its glossy, slick feel; never mind that it costs just $1. MyBat is much better than the dimpled, rubbery skins put out by BSE and Zagg.
With a screen protector, the touchscreen will occasionally go haywire and think I'm pressing the left side of the screen when I'm actually pressing the right side. Reset/quickpull fixes everything.
I've had my Torch since release. Love it! Put the Best Skins Ever full body and screen skin as soon as it was available. LOVE IT! I put BSE on my PB as well. Much cheaper than the competition, but amazingly effective and high quality.
No screen protector here, I live dangerously! Screen is tough, and always looks like new. Usually, my company replaces the hardware after a year so no need to fret. Now what will the next smartphone be, iPhoney, Androidy, or Windose? Get with the program Blackberry and it could be you again?!
I have a screen protector as well. I hardly notice it and will have better resale value when I decide to sell my torch. It is always nice to see scratches on the protector and think how bad it would be if those scratches were actually on the screen

I've got one on mine. I went without one for 8 months, not a scratch on it but put one on just in case. I got it (3 in a package) off of Ebay (can't remember the name of the seller), paid 1 cent plus $1.75 s/h. Works like a champ!
The 9800 is the first phone I have ever used a screen protector on, not only for it's magic screen protecting properties but just because it seems to be easier to wake up finger marks off the screen protector than it is off the screen itself.
i always use screen protector. last torch got a little scrath and everytime i looked to the screen, the scratch was always looking ate me so, new torch, with protector skin.
