    Hi guys

    I have done the followin: erased all backups except the one I want to restore, that backup has been placed on my media card in the database whtsapp folder.
    Whatsapp is already uninstalled before I restored the backup file to the databasw folder

    I didn't think Whatsapp would place the chats back in active status when you reinstall the app. What did you do to your installation?
