| | Virtual Keyboard Issue
As of lately, anytime I load a new operating system (.600 and up) everything works fine, except that after a while upon a restart, the reduced keyboard on my Torch, which I used the most, starts inputting as if set to multi-tap. I have tried multiple reloads of the system, deleted all operating systems from my computer, and reinstalled, I have checked to make sure I had reduced keyboard set. It's starting to irritate me and I have checked for solutions to no avail. If anyone has any help, it would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time I have come across a problem with any of my BlackBerries that I have been unable to figure out via my own or searching.
Thanks in advance,
Deschain

Define "after a while"? Is that a few minutes, hours, days? After you reinstall the OS, do you restore your other apps?

After a while can be anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour. Also, opening the physical keyboard and closing it fixes the issue for a bit longer. Kind of resets it.It's pretty weird.

Also, I manually reinstall my apps.I no longer back them up. I tested my phone without the apps to make sure it wasn't a corrupt app.

Try setting your typing option from predictive to mulitap, save it, then switch it back and save.
Also make sure Spell check as you type is ON.

Didn't work, so I'm rolling my OS back to a working version. Thanks anyway and if I find a solution in the mean time, I will post it for future reference to others.

Found it. During restore, I selected custom this time, and went through what exactly was being restored. I unchecked everything having to do with input. It's now working like a charm. Don't know why I didn't think of that first. Definitely made a noob mistake. Thanks for the help saudaeii. Much appreciated.

Glad you got it. Do you know what app caused the problem?

I'm not sure, it was something under my backup I created before wiping my device, having to do with input.
