Default Updating OS manually, couple questions

If I back up my blackberry will this save all of my bbm contacts and regular contacts?

Will installing the new OS keep everythingthe same? Or do I need to re-install all of
  1. My apps,
    BBM contacts
    Browser bookmarks
    Bridge

Just a few quick questions, hope someone can anwser. thanks!

How To Load / Wipe OS Using Loader.exe

Most everything should reload.

Any 3rd party apps will have a key will need keys again; and depending on the app there may be some configurations reset to default. Aside from that everything should restore as it was (BBM, contacts, device settings, etc).
