Default Unlocked torch - AT&T Simcard Error

I looked and found a few similar issues, tried what was adivsed, but I still have a message:
Insert SIM Card, even with the AT&T enterprise SIM from my curve 9300 in it?

MEPD screen shows all to be disabled.

I flashed the latest AT&T OS:
    BBerry 9800
    6.0 Bundle 2647 (v6.0.0.6.. platform 6.6.0.223) 3G band 1.2.5.6.....

Phone is originaly a T-Mobile used on Viettel Vietnam....

In service status, it still shows provider T-mobile (without SIM) probably because top of the list in vendor file, but bundle 2647 is in AT&T vendor...?

Any suggestion to be able to use this torch with my curve SIM?

    Default Solved-

I found out what the issue was.

    I opened the torch.
The SIM card was going in, only feeling tight once reaching the "bottom" raw of contacts.
As I could not see the first raw, I suspected something was wrong there.

I used this BBerry in the past with a microSIM and tray adapter from Gevey (I cut the SIM to use it in iPad for data plan).

I guess replacing the microsim with tray damaged the front raw of contacts.

I used a needle (as I could not find an easy way to disassemble the SIM card holder), to bend and stick out the 3 front contacts.

Upon inserting SIM, network came in and all is functional !!!!

PROBLEM SOLVED, nothing wrong with either the SIM or the phone... it was mechanical damages to SIM reader.

Thanks for explaining what happened and how you fixed it.

Your original post left out these impotant details which may explain why so many looked but none replied.

    Oh, and welcome to Crackberry!
