    Default unlocked BB Torch Email won't work! Helllp.

    Hello, I have a unlocked bb torch 9800 & everytime I go to setup and try to set up my email it will show the loading icon then just stay on the setup page. Or it will freeze on the set up page.
    Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?
    Also my wifi stops working contantly, I have to go to options>advance settings>host routing tables>wifi[60] and have to register it. Any ideas on how to make it so I don't have to contantly do that? Please help!

    I would reload or update the OS.

    Well, first, download an OS for the 9800, which I believe has 6.0.0.747 as the latest OS

    Install that, and also install BlackBerry desktop manager
    Go to c:\program files (x86)\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete loader.xml
    Go to c:\users\%username%\appdata\roaming\research in motion\blackberry and delete loader.xml
    this second location may be under c:\documents and settings\%username%\application data\roaming\research in motion\blackberry
    Then pull out your battery, connect via usb to the computer
    and it should pop up on your computer that something has been plugged in
    Go to c:\program files (x86)\common files\research in motion\apploader and run apploader.exe
    Follow the instructions and press next until it starts loading
    After it flashes the system and says waiting for device, put your battery back in
    It will boot to factory setting
    IF this does not solve your problem, it MAY be a service book issue, which you will have to reach out to your carrier to resolve
    IF you DO NOT have BIS, then there is no way in **** that you can set up email under WIFI, remember that
    As for wifi dropping off, sometimes it is a system bug. I had that issue with one specific system in 7.0
