I currently use an unlocked Torch on Fido and I always get 3G, sounds like bs to me.

Agreed with you BryGuy86 .. As mentioned b4, Fido runs on the same network as Rogers.

my old torch was able to get 3G on the fido network as well, but not this one anyone have other ideas?

yes, i tried security wipe, wiping the OS, upgrade, downgrade, everything i could think of, thinking of swapping for a 9780 if i cannot get it to work

Thats a little much for me, rather go with the 9780, I heard the white screen of death is common on the phone, or should I stay with the torch, its just I wouldn't have 3g on it

9780 also experiences the white screen of Death.. Faulty LCD screens.
