    Default Unlock to Verizon?

I currently have 9530 and 9550 and love the look of this phone. Since we can send both of those to ATT, could we not get a 9800 on Verizon? I apologize ahead of time for not knowing all that goes into this. Can you please fill me in?

    No you cannot.
You can use the 9530 and 9550 on att because they are world phones. (9650 works as well as the 9630) but this is a world phone that is not supposed to work on CDMA networks

    so nope
sorry. but there may be a CDMA Variant soon

The 9800 will not work with Verizon. AT&T is GSM and Verizon is CDMA, different networks.

    just remember it this way:
You CAN use Verizon's "World Phone"s on a GSM network (any network besides VZW and Sprint)
You CANNOT use any GSM phone on Verizon or Sprint's network.

I hope you can use Verizon's World Phones on Verizon Wireless...

    -EDIT- Nvm i got it.
But Virgin Mobile US is CDMA so...
    Yeah..
GSM is a network where most phones use simCards. Excluding Nextel Phones i think.

You may be able to run it off of Verizons 3G network. Here in Canada we have 3 major companies, and only one of which is GSM. However, the other 2 companies are CDMA companies but are able to run 3G GSM phones on their 3G HSPA network. For example, Telus and Bell are Canadian CDMA companies but also carry the bold 9700 as well as the iphone. Im not sure if Verizon runs the same HSPA frequencies as Bell and Telus, but if they do, then you should be fine. After all, Bell and Telus will be getting the 9800 in Canada

I will highlight the simplicity of the question above.
    and say
THE 9800 WILL NOT WORK ON VZW

It was a suggestion, wasnt saying it would. Not sure how things work in the US and you clearly dont know how they work in Canada either.

Telus and Bell run GSM and CDMA networks at the same time. A storm on telus doesn't run on the same network as an iphone on Telus.
