Twitter Notification icon won't disappear

Hi Experts

this twitter notification icon won't disappear when I have no new mention and no new direct message.

Torch 9800 ver 6.0 Bundle 2475

Twitter ver 2.1.0.28

I've seen that before. The only way I could get rid of the notification despite reading it and trying battery pulls was to reply to the message.

I signed out of all twitter accounts. It disappeared.

Its happen to me before and if I recall I logged out of twitter then did a soft reboot , that should do the trick.
