    I'm trying to set up my works email on my blackberry 9800. It's a pop3 email account and it's just not setting up.

    I know all the details are correct: email address, username, password, incoming/outgoing mailserver. because I've set the same account up on pc, mac, ipad, android, webmail and they all work just not my blackberry typically!

    I enter the email address and password and after a while I get invalid username/password, progress onto advanced settings and put in all the correct info for username, password, incoming/outgoing etc but still nothing.

    This is definitely a prob with BB, please can anyone help?

    Well this is a long shot, but the only time I have ever had this exact problem was the very first day I had the phone. Although it wasn't made clear to me, I apparently had to wait 24 hours or so for BIS to become fully active, or at least that's what I'm pretty sure was going on. In other words, after hours of frustration followed by just giving up, the next day I found it just worked.

    Other than that...er, battery pull?
