I recently purchased a Blackberry Torch 9800 and I'm experiencing a behaviour that seems very odd to me.

When in the list of contact should I be able to scroll through the contacts using the trackpad? I am only able to scroll through the contacts using the touchscreen but using the trackpad has no effect.

The trackpad works elsewhere, in menus etc. but not in when the list of contacts is displayed.

1. Is this the correct behaviour (I can't possibly imagine that it is)?
2. Is there anyway to correct this?

not normal , you should be able to scroll with trackpad as well as using the touch screen.
Are you using the default theme or a custom theme - if custom theme that could be the problem
Did you do a battery pull to see if that cleared up the problem?

Thanks for the response. I just got the phone and haven't changed the theme so it's using the default theme. I will do a battery pull and see if that solves the problem.

I will post again if the problem persist.
