    How do I hide the touchscreen keyboard when I don't need it without going to menu and hiding it. Is there a shortcut for this?

    I just drag it down off the screen - start from the top of the keyboard and swipe down and it goes away.

    Yeah you can swipe down, or you can press Menu -> Hide Keyboard
