So i got a torch the other day, unlocked it and put it on tmobile. I restored all my stuff from my 9700 on it using desktop software and now my torch wont receive texts, but i can send them. If I factory reset it wont be unlocked, so is there another way i can fix this without resetting my phone
Once unlocked, a phone is always unlocked. Resetting the device to factory defaults won't change that.
If you aren't receiving texts, type "Firewall" into your Torch and see if the firewall is turned on. If it is, make sure that the option for Text Messages is not checked.
I did this a few days after getting my Torch (I did it with email though). Took 3 days for me to realize what I had done. Once I turned off the option, my emails began flowing in again.
