The LED light at the top of the phone comes on for around 10-15 seconds after I put a brand new battery in. It goes off, if i hit the power button and hold it the phone will not do anything. If I plug the phone into a wall charger, or my laptop, the LED comes back on and the screen goes right to the "No battery" icon in the middle of the screen. I left the phone in a bag of rice for several days along with the original battery. Tried it and nothing came on other than what I described. Bought two new batteries from ebay and TESTED them on a known working phone, and both were able to power the phones on. They are genuine BB batteries.


Anyone have any ideas on how I can possibly get the phone working. or at the very least remove information from the phones ROM?

Water damage is a tough one. It often damages the circuits and depending on which ones, the phone may just be DEAD DEAD. It is quite possible that you will not be able to recover any data.
