I left my phone out in a torrential down pour that we had a few days ago. The screen was in the up position. After I had noticed, I took the phone inside and put it in rice. It stayed there for 48 hours.
I turned it on today.. it turns on fine but it only works when the screen is in the down position. I can still use the touch screen when it's slid down... but when slid up, the screen goes blank.
Is the phone toast? Can I order a new screen and have that installed??
When my last torch got wet it did the same thing except in the opposite direction. I had it replaced under my insurance. I would say its toast or the flex cable that connects the top to the bottom is loose or broken.
