Who is surprise at the price of the Torch on eBay. Most of the biddings are going around $600 to $900. Just when I want to get one before the Canadian launch but this is ridiculous.

And they are trying to sell a phone they don't actually have. If you look at the shipping date it is the 13th.

USD retail price will be $499. They should drop to/below that after the 12th when they are released

actually considering all the fees that Ebay and Paypal will put on it..
then the state tax
plus the shipping

even if you buy the phone for $750..
the seller will probably get around 100-150 max in profit.
and if they mail it by the 12th.. you'll get it on the 13th or 14th

for my Canadian family and friends, it saves them the hassle of driving all the way to seattle from Vancouver..
and opening an account with AT&T

It all depends on how bad you want it. $900 would not be bad for a real 9800 if it was a month before the launch, but only a day or two?

i think it's more of the availability.
for us here in the US it's no problem..BUT
people in the UK can't have it yet.. even the ones in Canada
unless they purchase it on Ebay..
