    Default Torch-Copy and paste?

    Hey everyone,
I've been a lurker here for years and have managed to find answers to any questions i've had relating to Blackberry from this site. I am using a Torch and came from a 9700. I'm impressed thus far with the phone and the operating system, however on my 9700, I was able to copy and paste any part of an email that I receieved from someone else and send only the copied part (not the entire email message) to someone else. The torch doesn't seem to allow this....it prevents the text from being highlighted. I received a threaded email from my secratary with a tracking # for a package and was not able to highlight just the tracking # to forward to the person that will be receiving the package. Has RIM made this undoable? Or is there something I have yet to learn about this phone? I hope i've explained this properly.
    Thanks for your input everyone.

I think it depends on how the email was formatted. I have some emails I can't do any copy-paste with the text and others I have no problem.

I've been able to copy text from an e-mail by hitting Blackberry key and choosing select from the menu.

I believe that the touchscreen can also be used to select the text to be copied.

The best way I have found to copy and paste is open up the keyboard and do it the same way you did in the past. Hold the Caps key and select away. Some e-mails are formatted funky and there in turn could lie the problem, but I have had no issues with that at all.

EXACTLY!!!! Copy n past works the exact same way it does on the 9700. The one SMALL diff is you may sometimes need to hit the ALT key to activate the "pointer", I use it all the time. In fact...you can use the 9800 the same way you used the 9700. It also has other way's to "do things"

Thanks everyone! It was the arrow/pointer thing that was screwing me up. This is hands down, the best place to get the answers to anything Blackberry.
    Thanks again.
