Hi Everyone.

I have just bought a Torch 9800 and want to pair it with a Garmin 1490T.

The contact list was shown for a while and now it does not appear at all.

The Garmin website does not list the Torch at all.

My question is how do you make the phone's contact list appear on the Garmin?

It's done over a Blue Tooth pairing. Once they connect, the "Dial" button appears on the Garmin screen. You need to verify that they are in deed connected. Go into the BT Connection on the Torch and see if the Garmin is listed in BOLD letters. If not, scroll down to select it, hit press the trackpad and select connect.

I have my 9800 paired with my Garmin StreetPilot C550. Works fine.

I have finally found a solution to the problem.

The fault message that kept coming up was "Unable to locate object support server".
