torch 9800 dead with red light On

hello all
my torch 9800 does not power up and shows red light only
It just shows RED LIGHT for approx 30 secs , and keeps on doing that......

I tried updating via Blackberry Desktop Software , but after downloading all the modules , it got stuck on "Reconnecting to JVM"
then it shows that device not found..retry or cancel...

is there any solution to this problem?

What happens if you unplug and reinsert at that point?

when i replug or reinsert the cable ,.just Red light starts , computer detects device , again after 20 secs , red light goes off , and sound came from computer that device is unplugged...
again red light turns after some seconds , computer detects device again , thats going on

But
when i plug the torch 9800 without battery , red light turns on then it shows battery signal on screen...
but when i plug with batrtery , nothing happens , just red light goes on and off and on and off by itself..
as like rebooting , den restarting , then again trying to boot , but fail and restart....thats why computer gives sound of device plugged in and unplugged....

Have you tried a new battery?

Try removing battery and leaving for a few hours, then connect a charger still without battery and leave overnight.

Do you have a means to charge the battery outside the phone?

Next day pop the battery back in and attempt to reload the os again.

I had the same problem with my bold 9900. take out the battery and sim card and leave them apart over night in the morning put them back together and put it on charge as soon as you put it back together

Have the same problem, so I just went back to my 9700
