I am trying to charge my older Torch 9800 to give to one of my family members. It is currently unlocked from SaskTel Mobility. The screen currently shows a red X. i am currently charging it overnight last night and all day today. As far as I know the battery didn't get wet. Before I unlocked the phone it had a cpu replacement that was about 1 yr ago. What should I do about this issue? I am out of my warranty period.

If the red X is on a silhouette of a battery, your battery is bad. Try removing it for a few minutes and reinsert and charge again.

How long has it been since it's been fully charged? How recently did you unlock it?
