    ... actually, one thing you can do.

    The torch (both models) has no IR filter on the camera lens. If you look at something in camera mode you will see a bright light like an LED if it has an IR emitter.

    I used to use my torches to check IR light strips used in our giant touchscreens when I worked for SMART Technologies. You can verify this easily enough if you have an IR TV remote
