text message read confirmation 'r'

I need help.. When I'm sending a text from my bb torch 9800 I am getting a delivery confirmation 'D' above the tick.. But I was told there is a way I can get an 'R' when the person reads it? I've put the settings on to receive a read confirmation, but it doesn't seem to come up. Do I only get this when I send a text to another blackberry or is there a way to get the 'R' on all messages?

There's no way to get the "R" for SMS. Only for BBM.

Like SwitchBeach said, not possible with SMS. The option you ticked was 'Delivery Report', not 'Read Confirmation'.
