    I called AT&T to get an unlock code. Was told that the device is so new, their system do not have the unlock code yet. They ran my IMEI number into their system to get the code but it was not available yet. I am a premier customer and had no problems getting the unlock codes for my previous devices. They said they will provide to me as soon as it is available.

    Was just wondering if anyone manage to unlock their Torch with other unlock companies?

    Eight bucks? Holy crap - you can get them under a dollar! I got mine for 99cents and in about five minutes.

    Yes, so you can insert another carriers SIM card, especially helpful and more economical if traveling out of the country, overseas, etc.
