Default Swapping SD card with phone on?

Hello, is there any reason why I shouldn't swap the SD card with the phone on?

It would be nice to pop the card out of my camera and into my phone "on the go" but not if I have to shut the thing off every time.

Thanks!

I don't see why it should hurt the phone. I think it's safe to swap 'em without rebooting. I've done so countless times.

Thank you!

I suspect that since the card is removable without taking out the battery it is probably fine, unlike the SIM card.

I pulled the card out of my camera but the phone said it had errors and wouldn't read anything on it

the 9800 has the full ability to hot swap the card. Sounds like your card is the problem

My card works fine in the camera and in the computer. Could it be that the 9800 can't handle SDHC cards?

You should be able to hot swap your SD card at anytime. I would suggest going into the Options --> Device --> Storage and Safely Remove Media Card. This should help reduce the change of corrupting files on the card.

But it can be done, because I have done it multiple times.

It's not the files on the original SD card that are a problem. It wouldn't read the card I put into it, despite the card working fine in the camera and the computer.

Does the 9800 support SD-HC cards?
