suspended PIN
Hi everyone. I'm from India. My brother has sent me his 9800 which he had got from AT&T. It is unlocked and basic handset is functioning well. Day before I activated the BIS service and it worked as promised - but only for 1 day! Upon checking with Vodafone (carrier) I was informed that the PIN has been suspended by RIM.
EDGE is very much present and VODAFONE LIVE is working very well.
My brother (earlier owner) used this phone/BIS very successfully. Now please advise me what should I tell him (my brother) to do -
1) Does he need to something himself (delinking his existing account from the PIN) or
2) Should he talk to the AT&T or RIM?

Was able to get my BIS services working again. Turned out that the issue was at the Blackberry end. First the RIM support staff gave me a run around saying that the fault was with vodafone. I took vodafone support staff on conference call with their counterpart at RIM - No relief.
Eventually it was a technical support person at RIM who patiently heard me out and solved the issue for me. Many thanks to him and hope he gets to see Victoria falls one day (a personal discussion)....
