It seems the penny is the new sugar cube. Don't you just love visiting the forum every now and then and learning something new? To the OP what a great find.
Now, on to your next assignment, how to remove Trolls?

How do I get the logo back? I don't like the naked, unbranded look.

What are you guys doing!!?? How can you defile such a beautiful thing? I love my torch's ATT logo. My wife has a sprint evo so I have to have the logo to flaunt when. She loses service in our basement. Ha ha. Reading it, I couldn't believed it actually works. But I'll keep mine. I'm sure I'll wear it off. Just got the phone and haven't set it down for 5 hours and counting.

I don't have a Torch, but this is a great find! So I had to comment.

That ATT logo is UGLY on the front! They should have at least put it on the battery door like on the Verizon Storms.

I can officially confirm that the 1998D penny upgrade works for the torch.

Oh, and it gets rid of the tin-can/lag too. VBG

Oh... I was really tempted to do this so I did and it worked perfectly. I used the first penny I found.

But now thinking about it................ does this void warranty with AT&T?

Works for me. I also chose to remove the lock button prints on the top of the phone as well.

I decided to try to remove the logo using a copper coin, just like I used to do with my Raybans. And… it worked. No marks or scratches, just a clean unbranded Torch. This method is absolutely safe and does not leave any marks or scratches on your device:

Just take a copper coin. Do not use coins made of other metals, use a copper coin. The copper is just hard enough to remove the screenprinted paint, and soft enough not to scratch the surface of the bezel. Just simply scratch the paint off, don’t be afraid to apply a little pressure, it’s not gonna scratch.

Now I know you guys aren’t gonna take my word for it so I put up a .

Enjoy the video and your brand new Torch!
Wow. I just did this and it works great. No scratches at all. Did it with my 1989 penny. My Torch now is clean and no branding!!! Woohoo!!!

Excellent tip! Used a british 2 pence piece. Was a bit worried it would mark the shiny plastic bit but no marks or scratches on it at all! Its as if it was never there!

    Thanks!
