Default Stream/Access media files, via wifi home network?

I can't seem to find info on this, but I want to access my shared media files on my desktop pc, via wifi, through my Torch.

basically, I want to watch a media file saved on my computer, and access it on my home network.

I have the network setup to share media files over wifi (My PS3 streams media off my pc already)

Is there a way to do this on a Torch?

Any help is appreciated.

(Hope this is the right forum :P )

Yes, but not the same way as your PC/PS3. They are using DLNA (look it up) which the Torch does not support.

However, you can set up a web server and share the media files through it. Open the BB browser and browse to the web server. I had to use it's IP address. I was able to browse through the folders and pick a movie. It asked if I wanted to save or Open. I pick Open and it starts streaming.

Happens I have a Netgear NAS with a built in web server so I'm using it rather than setting up my laptop as a web server.

YMMV.....

Good Luck
